Bowen Island Retreat
Bowen Island Retreat is just a short 20-minute ferry ride from West Vancouver, British Columbia. Only 30 minutes from beautiful Cypress mountain, you can ski in the morning, then swim in the afternoon at one of our many lovely beaches or play a round of golf on our spectacular 9 hole golf course. From the east-facing windows, you can see the highway to Whistler, only an hour away from Bowen Island Retreat.
Bowen Island Retreat is the 800 square foot lower level of a house on Cates Hill, located just 2 minutes from the ferry terminal in Snug Cove. The Retreat boasts a spectacular view of the ocean and the majestic coastal mountains, often snow-capped. Walk out the door of Bowen Island Retreat onto the custom designed slate patio which surrounds the hot tub area. Enjoy the amazing night time view across the ocean to Cypress Mountain and the lights of West Vancouver. The fully fenced yard has a level sunny lawn area, sloping garden with fruit trees and a wooden deck with patio table and chairs for your outdoor dining pleasure.
The main bedroom has large windows overlooking the view. Waking up to the sunrise in the morning as you look out these windows from your bed is a wonderful experience. There are 2 couches in the cozy living room, a large wooden dining table and fully equiped kitchen. There are tile floors throughout the suite, including the full bathroom.
The Bowen Island Retreat is the perfect get away for 2 couples or a small family.
Bowen Island is a diverse, intelligent and creative community comprised of artists, writers, musicians, business people and academics. Here, you will find all the amenities: two well-stocked grocery stores, two doctor's offices, a post office, a bank, a marina and several restaurants and cafés, from very elegant to casual. There are wonderful little stores, artists studios, kayak rentals, an amazing chocolate shop and many wonderful walks and hikes.
